Attention authors and readers…

I have sat here at the keyboard for a long time trying to think of a good opening to what I have to say and the words will just not come to me, so I am just going to put them out there:

Doubleshot Reviews will no longer be accepting review requests.

This does not mean the site is going away or even that the reviews will stop. It just means that neither Rachelle nor I will be taking on any other review requests. Reading is a passion of mine and I started up Doubleshot Reviews as a way to share my passion with a few fellow readers and to aid my author friends in getting some reviews for their art. There are a multitude of reasons behind this decision with theĀ  number one reason being my daytime job has become much more demanding of my time and quite frankly by the time I get home from work the last thing I want to do is sit at a computer. Quality time with my husband is another reason I am choosing to take on a less active reviewing lifestyle. I’m sure authors and readers alike can and will understand that my family comes first. Again, I do still plan on reading and posting reviews, but they will be further and far between unless I happen to get a burst of energy and can crack out a few reviews at a time.

(Those of you I have committed to reviewing your work, do not fret they are at the top of my list and will not be forgotten)

Thank you for your support and understanding. Remember, Doubleshot Reviews is not going away, it’s just slowing down.

  1. Cheers to you for all you do, and for making the choice to scale back before things got out of hand.
