As I’m sure you can tell, if you are a reader of Doubleshot Reviews, I am a big fan of Eric S Brown’s writing. He has a knack for telling an enthralling fast paced tale filled with action and adventure. His characters are detailed enough that you get to know them fairly well, in a short period of time, so that you can truly begin to relate and care for them. Eric’s latest novella, A Pack of Wolves II: Skyfall, is no different.

Admittedly, I did not read the cover blurb before delving into Brown’s world and was a bit confused that I was 100 years into the future from where the first story left off. I was expecting a straight sequel and that is not what I got. However, while I did not get what I expected I am by no means disappointment in what I read. A Pack of Wolves II: Skyfall takes it’s reader on an incredible journey into the future where the Farr family still thrives. They continues to aid in keeping humanity safe from the Changed which are humans who have been changed to lycan rather than be born as one, and now they have another threat to contend with aliens.

A Pack of Wolves II: Skyfall gives it’s reader everything they are looking for in intense action, carnage and supernatural beings fighting together to save the Earth from a other worldly threat.
