A century later, the Farr family continues to thrive. A new generation of wolves walks the Earth with Zed as their leader. From the depths of space arrives an army of aliens with superior technology and a massive power-armored force of troops. Their goal: To take the Earth and make it their own. Now only the Farr family and their allies in the world of the supernatural can save the human race from being utterly destroyed. It’s werewolves vs. aliens in this action-filled tale of war and interplanetary conquest.
As I’m sure you can tell, if you are a reader of Doubleshot Reviews, I am a big fan of Eric S Brown’s writing. He has a knack for telling an enthralling fast paced tale filled with action and adventure. His characters are detailed enough that you get to know them fairly well, in a short period of time, so that you can truly begin to relate and care for them. Eric’s latest novella, A Pack of Wolves II: Skyfall, is no different.
Admittedly, I did not read the cover blurb before delving into Brown’s world and was a bit confused that I was 100 years into the future from where the first story left off. I was expecting a straight sequel and that is not what I got. However, while I did not get what I expected I am by no means disappointment in what I read. A Pack of Wolves II: Skyfall takes it’s reader on an incredible journey into the future where the Farr family still thrives. They continues to aid in keeping humanity safe from the Changed which are humans who have been changed to lycan rather than be born as one, and now they have another threat to contend with aliens.
A Pack of Wolves II: Skyfall gives it’s reader everything they are looking for in intense action, carnage and supernatural beings fighting together to save the Earth from a other worldly threat.
