With This Ring, I Bleed, DEAD!

Amazon Kindle

Love can be deadly… Rainstorm Press presents ten warped stories of murderous, deranged brides and grooms and the families that have been affected by the curse of marital bliss. Turbulent emotions go awry as jealousy and betrayal burst through these pages like a gunshot to the chest. Tension and tragedy will tantalize, leaving you wondering if your partner really meant it when he said, I DO

When a couple chooses to join together in marriage those lives are changed forever…for better or worse, for richer or poorer, in sickness and in health…til DEATH do they part.  With This Ring, I Bleed, DEAD! takes the words “til death do us part” quite literally in ten imaginative tales of love, loss, murder and betrayal.  It’s not typical to find an anthology of horror stories that focus on love/marriage and I found the change to be very refreshing and highly enjoyable.

I do not plan on giving my thoughts on the individual stories inside the electronic pages of this anthology, as I loved them all and do not feel it fair to try to pick one or two to give thoughts on. Each story in With This Ring, I Bleed, DEAD! were very well written and each had a hauntingly beautiful quality that just added to the torment the characters were involved in or the cause of.

Characters, setting and mood were well established and defined, which can sometimes be a problem in short stories. It is possible to have well developed characters and settings in a limited amount of words, it just takes creativity and the authors of With This Ring, I Bleed, DEAD! have that ability.

Obviously I give this anthology a definite I DO and YOU SHOULD.

The contributing authors are as follows  Jay Faulkner, Dorothy Davis, Jack Horne, Kristian Green, Jimalyn Lawless, Bruce Turnbull, Gretchen Elhassani, Danica Green, Christopher Beck and Rhiannon Mills.
